Dede Cummings is the founder of DCDesign, a firm that provides design
services for books/covers, publications, marketing materials and
web sites, with additional production/ editorial work from support
staff. She is responsible for books, jackets, brochures, catalogues,
museum exhibits, and various graphic design projects including logo
development. Skilled in all areas of production from design to finished
project, her projects range from pocket classic children's book
series, to trade/art books.
Cummings' clients include: The Center for Living Democracy, The
American News Service, Educators for Social Responsibility, Little,
Brown & Co., Shambhala Publications, Chelsea Green Publishing
Company, Walker & Company, McGraw-Hill, Addison-Wesley, David
R. Godine, Harlow's Organic Farm, Green Living Magazine, and the
Marion Foundation. She is an Adjunct Professor of Graphic Design
at Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire and resides with
her family in Brattleboro, Vermont. Dede's high school son is active
in CLEA and went with the first group of 20 high schoolers to Guatemala
to build a school to help with the problem of child labor.
