This card provides you with information about wages and benefits
of the union workers who produced this shoe. We challenge the rest
of the sneaker industry to do the same. In fact, we dare them to.
All No Sweat
shoemakers are represented by the Indonesian trade union SPSI, TSK
(Confederation of Indonesian Employees Unions, Textile, Clothing
& Leather).

No Sweat Shoemakers Summary
of Wages & Benefits
(based on a 40 hour work week)
The take home wage figure for the average paid worker at the union
shop that produces our sneakers is 1,135,000 rupiah a month, or about
$125 dollars US, including a
transportation allowance and a rice purchase allowance based on the
size of the workers’ family. This is significantly higher than
the regional minimum wage. All employees receive 100% health
insurance coverage and 80% for family members, maternity, shift allowances,
holiday bonuses, and other benefits not calculated into the wage figure.
In addition to these benefits, after 25 years, workers receive a pension
worth 10% of their lifetime earnings. Below you will find a
